Life can be complex, and even the strongest relationships can feel strained during times of change. I’m Chad O’Brien, a psychotherapist with 17 years of experience helping individuals and couples understand themselves and one another more deeply. My work focuses on relationship and marital therapy as well as supporting people through major life transitions—those moments when old patterns no longer serve and something new is trying to take shape. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you find clarity, resilience, and renewed connection. I offer telehealth sessions for accessible, confidential care. My approach is deeply psychodynamic, grounded in the understanding that many of our struggles stem from long-standing defenses and unseen emotional patterns that shape how we connect, protect, and love. Together, we bring those patterns into awareness so they no longer silently dictate your choices or relationships. I integrate strength-based and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) strategies to help you translate understanding into meaningful change. I am credentialed with insurance panels in New Hampshire. Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance in Texas at this time. The best way to reach me for inquiries or appointments is by email.
