Introduction

Life is a wild ride! It can astonish with beauty or overwhelm with difficulty and pain, and we all need help sometimes. At Find Your Line Counseling, I’m committed to helping you feel better while we work to address what’s causing your pain and build skills to help you thrive in your journey forward. I provide compassionate, skilled psychotherapy to adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, challenges related to ADHD (ADD), depression, trauma, grief and loss. My approach is empowering, respectful of the mind/body connection, and integrative, which means I utilize therapeutic modalities based on each client’s needs and suitability. These therapies include: ~ Brainspotting: This method helps uncover and work through emotional issues by guiding your gaze to specific points, tapping into how the brain stores trauma. ~ EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): This psychotherapy technique helps individuals process and heal from traumatic memories through bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements. ~ ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): ACT teaches individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment while focusing on actions that align with their personal values. ~ Somatic Therapy: Focusing on the mind-body connection, somatic therapy helps people process trauma through awareness of bodily sensations, movement, and breathing techniques. ~ CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): CBT helps people identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve their emotional well-being. Counseling in Fairbanks is available in person. I also offer telehealth for those anywhere in Alaska. I’m an in-network provider with Premera BCBS plans, and Aetna. I serve adults 18+ of all backgrounds and I’m LGBTQIA+ welcoming. To get started, call 907-921-1186 and leave a message with the best time to reach you (Mondays through Thursdays). I will reach out for a quick consult to see if your needs and availability match what I’m able to offer, and we will schedule from there. If for any reason I’m unable to see you, I will happily provide some resources for how to connect with other therapists. Thank you for reading. I look forward to hearing from you!
