Introduction

My Background My journey into the mental health field is deeply connected to my own experience with therapy. At 19, I entered treatment for substance use, where I had the opportunity to work with therapists who had a profound impact on my life. They saw potential in me at a time when I had difficulty seeing it in myself and encouraged me to consider becoming a therapist. Their compassion, authenticity, and belief in my capacity for growth supported my own recovery and gave me some of my earliest models for the kind of therapist I hoped to become. That experience shaped my belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship and ultimately led me to pursue a career in mental health. Today, I hope to offer my clients that same combination of acceptance, curiosity, honesty, and belief in their capacity to grow. Who I Work With My professional background includes working with adolescents and families in residential treatment as well as providing outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and teens. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, low self-worth, identity concerns, substance use, major life transitions, and patterns that can leave people feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves and others. My Approach My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I believe many of our emotional patterns begin as ways of protecting ourselves and making sense of our experiences. Over time, however, those same patterns can become the very things that keep us feeling stuck, disconnected, or unfulfilled. Therapy creates an opportunity to slow down, become curious about these patterns, and develop a deeper and more compassionate understanding of ourselves. I draw from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, somatic approaches, and Gestalt therapy, while integrating practical tools from CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches when helpful. I tailor therapy to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, and I value authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, experiences, relationships, and parts of themselves without fear of judgment. My Goal for You Ultimately, my goal is not simply to help you experience relief from symptoms, but to support meaningful and lasting growth. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, healthier relationships, increased confidence, and a stronger connection to yourself and the people who matter to you.
