As a therapist, my aim is to take the time to clearly understand your history, difficulties, strengths, and goals, and then to work together to build a treatment plan tailored to your unique circumstances. I have experience working with adolescents and their families to repair relationships, helping individuals navigate the pitfalls of depression and anxiety, and aiding veterans and others to recover from traumatic experiences that left them lost and overwhelmed. Most recently, I have worked within rural communities to help clients recover from substance abuse and the impacts it has had on their lives. My training and experience has led me to an integrative approach to therapy. I flexibly apply cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and other approaches in order to provide treatment that is both suited to your needs and makes the most of your strengths. I work to provide an empathetic and non-judgmental space because I believe this is what we need to grow. There are lots of reasons to start therapy. Whether you seek to overcome an obstacle life has thrown at you, to overcome experiences that you feel are holding you back, or even just to feel like yourself again, you deserve to be happy. In order to do that you must be heard and valued for who you really are, and this is what I seek to do as a therapist.
