"Anchor & Advance" reflects the two-part rhythm at the heart of good counseling. First, you find your footing -- a stable, safe place to process what is weighing you down. Then, from that grounded place, you begin to move forward. The image comes from Hebrews 6:19, where the Apostle Paul describes hope as an anchor for the soul -- not a chain, but a foundation. At Anchor & Advance Counseling, that is the work: anchoring you in hope, then walking with you as you advance toward the life you were made for. Charles brings a uniquely layered foundation to his work, having retired from the U.S. Navy after 22.5 years of combined enlisted and commissioned service. Having personally walked alongside hundreds of active-duty service members, veterans, retirees, military families, and adult clients from all walks of life, Charles creates a supportive, non-judgmental space where each person can safely explore their thoughts and feelings. He approaches counseling through a wholistic lens, recognizing that thoughts, feelings, behaviors, emotions, spirituality, and relationships all shape the challenges we face.
