Introduction

After sixteen years working with desktop computers in Information Technology, I made a leap: I traded troubleshooting technology for helping people make sense of what's going on inside their own hearts and minds. I earned my degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, and I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern serving clients throughout Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and the greater Tampa Bay area. I've had the privilege of working with an incredibly diverse population, from ten-year-olds finding their voice to older adults making sense of a lifetime of experience. You’re not a diagnosis. You're a whole person, and therapy with me starts there. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and existential approaches; not as a fixed formula, but as methods to best help you. My clients come to me carrying anxiety, depression, existential fear, grief, trauma and PTSD, burnout, anger, shame, and guilt. Others are working through identity questions, seeking care for LGBTQIA+ issues, or adults still untangling the effects of a painful childhood. For couples, I help repair communication and rebuild trust, navigate the complexities and wonders of parenting, address sex and intimacy issues, and confront the sheer pressure of trying to make a relationship work in an oftentimes difficult and demanding world. I always take a gentle approach, but at times, and if necessary, I will be direct with you. Meaningful, lasting change rarely comes from tiptoeing around the truth. My office is a safe, judgment-free space, and I’m comfortable going wherever you need to go, including the parts of yourself usually hidden from the outside world. After all, those are the parts that usually need the most healing.
