Hi, I'm Chelsea. Getting to sit with people in hardships and pain and point them to healing and hope is a profound honor and I feel privileged to do this work. My own story includes the help of a wonderful therapist so I feel passionate about the freedom, healing, and wholeness that can come through therapy. I grew up in Indiana and am a proud Hoosier. I attended Indiana University for my undergraduate studies and law school and am beyond ecstatic that we are now a football school! I moved to Colorado in 2018 chasing a love of mountains and furthering my ambitions as a lawyer. I spent nearly a decade practicing law before switching careers to be a therapist. During my years practicing law, I worked for a Fortune 500 company and two prestigious law firms. I know first-hand the stress and identity issues that come with high performing careers and love working with professionals who often feel like therapists won't understand their experiences. I also know first-hand what wrestling with God feels like. I have wrestled through my own story - the disappointments and the blessings, and I know deeply that healing comes when we're honest with the pain. Pain is what led to my career change, but really I think God used it to redirect me. Going back to grad school was not on my bucket list, but nearly a decade after graduating law school I earned my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Prior to opening Resilient Hope Christian Counseling, I worked in two private practices in the Denver metro area serving children, adults, and couples. When I'm not working, I love adventuring in the mountains, reading, and spending time with Jesus, family and friends.
