Introduction

Chelsea is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider®. Chelsea has over 15 years of experience in helping professions and brings knowledge from her experience in a variety of systems. Chelsea works with clients of all ages in individual, family system, and through groups. Chelsea completed her Bachelor of Science Psychology degree in 2018, followed by her Master of Education degree specializing in educating Autistic students in 2019 from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Chelsea completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling along with her Play Therapy Certificate from Missouri State University in 2023. Chelsea began as an intern under the supervision of Dr. Grant in August of 2022, where she has continued as an LPC. Chelsea opened A Painted Path Play Therapy, LLC within AutPlay Therapy Clinic. Chelsea utilizes an integrative, collaborative, strength-based, and affirming approach with all clients. Chelsea specializes in working with neurodivergent clients and shares the lived experiences of being neurodivergent herself. Chelsea believes in the individual experience of each client and adjusts through integration and a client-centered approach. Chelsea uses healing arts in many forms to allow clients the freedom that comes with creative expression. Chelsea uses play therapy with clients of all ages and believes it can be incorporated into many areas of life at any age. Chelsea stands firm in her belief that wonder and imagination never leave as we age. Chelsea’s willingness to help clients grab curiosity and help them to become open to exploration that societal pressure often discourages help clients progress in session and everyday life as they navigate play, creation, and exploring.
