Hi, I’m Chelsey — a licensed clinical social worker, supervisor, and founder of Courage Speaks Counseling. I started this practice because I wanted therapy to feel more human than clinical. Not a checklist of coping skills, but a space where real healing can unfold — sometimes messy, sometimes quiet, always honest. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with people who’ve tried to hold it all together for everyone else — the ones who are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside. My work centers around trauma, emotional overwhelm, relational patterns, and the quieter things that don’t always have words. I use a blend of approaches that help people reconnect with their own capacity — including EMDR, parts work, and somatic practices. My goal isn’t to fix you, but to help you come home to yourself — the version that can finally breathe. If you’re looking for therapy that’s grounded, curious, and a little outside the box, we’ll probably work well together.
