Introduction

Greetings! I am so happy you are here. I'm Chelsey! I was born and raised in the Black Hills in SD and live in Rapid City. I’m a licensed counselor based in Rapid City, SD, with extensive experience supporting young adults, people navigating life transitions, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I hold a B.S. in Psychology (Spanish minor) from Black Hills State University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota, and I’ve worked extensively in university counseling centers. I was honored to be selected as one of Rapid City’s 40 Under 40 in 2025, which reflects my dedication to leadership, growth, and community impact. My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and holistic. I create a safe, empathetic space where you can explore your challenges honestly, connect with your strengths, and grow into your authentic self. I use plenty of humor, creativity, and compassion to help clients navigate trauma, connection, and life transitions. Beyond one-on-one counseling, I enjoy outreach, promoting holistic wellness, and mentoring others through leadership roles. These experiences inform how I support clients in all areas of life. Therapy with me is a collaborative, empowering process, and I strive to make each session productive, engaging, and meaningful. You’ll grow, laugh, and connect in ways that matter most to you. Have questions? Are you interested in a free 20 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit? Select "Request Appointment" today to connect. *At this time I am only offering Telehealth services and work with adults 18+ in SD. Inquire for rates. I want to make therapy affordable for those seeking support.
