Chenda’s passion for supporting others as a psychotherapist is deeply rooted in her lived experience as a first-generation Cambodian American immigrant and a cisgender, able-bodied woman of color navigating life between two cultures. Chenda Dyck is currently pursuing her PhD. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy from Fresno Pacific University and her Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Fresno in 2016. Originally from Cambodia, Chenda came to the United States in 2003 through the love and sponsorship of her adoptive American family. Growing up in a multigenerational household shaped her deep appreciation for education, community, resilience, and family values. She brings cultural humility, compassion, and authenticity into her work, creating a space where clients can deepen self-connection, build healthier relationships, foster community, and make meaning from life’s painful experiences.
