Introduction

Life be full of pressure that can feel overwhelming and challenging. I specialize in working with women and children (ages 6–17). I support concerns such as life transitions, people-pleasing, relationship and peer issues, self-esteem, bullying, trauma, fears, and ADHD-related symptoms. While talk therapy is important, I incorporate additional approaches to support lasting change. I am warm and inviting, yet direct, and primarily use EMDR along with CBT, Play Therapy (for children), and Sandtray Therapy. I earned my master’s degree from EWU in 2010 and have over 12 years of clinical experience. I opened my private practice in 2018 after training in EMDR. Helping people recognize their worth and reconnect with their inner light is incredibly fulfilling work! __________________________________ What is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)? EMDR is an evidence-based therapy used to treat trauma and PTSD by addressing symptoms like anxiety and depression at their root. Rather than relying only on talk therapy, it uses bilateral stimulation (through eye movements) to help the brain process and reframe past experiences, leaving them free of emotional charge. It’s a therapy backed by over 35 years of research! Not sure if you have trauma? That’s okay. Many people don’t have a clear “Big T” experience, but still feel the impact of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. EMDR is still effective without a clear source. Together, we’ll explore experiences that may be contributing to your symptoms, identify patterns in your thoughts and body, and work to reduce their intensity. I support you to move forward with greater self-compassion, confidence, and a stronger sense of self. __________________________________ Have questions? Interested in getting started?
