My theory of counseling is that people have specific behaviors they would like to change, which are caused by our irrational, self-defeating beliefs learned from earlier life experiences. My goal will be to assist with changing undesired behaviors and circumstances. Counseling is a personal exploration that leads to major changes in your life perspectives and decisions. These changes may affect significant relationships and understanding of yourself. Some of these life changes could be temporarily distressing. Together we will work to achieve the best possible results for you. My special interests include family counseling, relationship concerns, parenting concerns, women's issues, developmental transitions, ADHD, depression, anxiety, spirituality, career issues, communication, and self-esteem difficulties. Effective counseling is a two way street. It takes a cooperative effort by both the person receiving counseling and the counselor.
