Many of the clients I work with have a deep understanding of "why" they're struggling, but feel stuck on "how" to move forward. This feeling of being "stuck" often comes with deep feelings of shame and frustration. My work focuses on helping young people develop a more compassionate and empowering relationship with their sense of self and difficult emotions. Rather than suppressing "negative" emotions, we will strive to explore their underlying purpose, reduce shame, and develop a healthier relationship with your emotional self. I specialize in working with young adults and teens navigating life transitions, grief, low self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, and family conflict. I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as helping individuals navigate the aftermath of sexual assault, traumatic loss, and parental alcoholism. Building trust and emotional safety is the most important part of my job. Respect, non-judgment, and empathy are central to my work. I bring my full self into our sessions with the hope that you'll do the same. I'm genuine, curious, use humor, and can hold strong emotions with care and kindness.
