When life is stressful, we can feel stuck in repeating patterns and disconnected from our bodies. Somatic psychotherapy is a way of using our minds and our bodies together to process past events, resolve trauma and anxiety, and create more joy and aliveness. I provide support, guidance, safety, and mindfulness to help you access your own inner knowing. Hi, my name is Chris, and I’m a somatic psychotherapist with a background in performing arts and movement. Sessions with me focus on both the story of what’s happened, as well as on what’s happening in the present moment. I bring warmth, playfulness and a healthy dose of humor, while still focusing on safety and gently challenging you where appropriate. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, including queer, transgender, and sexual minority, kinky and polyamorous folks, and focus on anxiety, depression, feeling “stuck”, as well as with issues of creativity, giftedness, ADHD, and neurodiversity.
