Hi, I’m Chris DiGiovanni, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I’ve been working in mental health and social services since 2009, but my interest in this field started long before that—through my own experience as a young person navigating challenges and finding support through therapy. That early connection to the process shaped how I approach this work today: with care, honesty, and a deep respect for each person’s story. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, social anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, life transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues. Many of the people I work with are trying to better understand themselves, break old patterns, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and manageable. My approach is collaborative and person-centered. I draw from a range of evidence-based practices—including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Therapy should feel tailored to you, and we’ll work together to find a path that fits. Above all, I aim to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, respectful, and genuine. When there’s a solid, supportive connection, it opens the door for meaningful change—making it easier to show up fully, explore what’s getting in the way, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
