Introduction

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing bilingual (English/Spanish) telehealth therapy to adults across California — specializing in trauma, anxiety, and emotional regulation. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of GroundPoint Counseling, a telehealth practice serving adults throughout California in English and Spanish. People often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or carrying something heavy — trauma, anxiety, emotions that move faster than they can manage, or a hard life transition. My work is direct, collaborative, and person-centered, with an emphasis on a steady space where change can happen at a pace that feels sustainable rather than overwhelming. My approach is grounded in structured, skills-based therapy with a particular focus on emotional regulation — helping clients navigate difficult emotions in a practical, steady way. I balance emotional processing with real skill-building, so therapy feels supportive rather than flooding. I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness- and trauma-informed practices, with a focus on tools you can use outside of session. Over more than a decade in behavioral health — across community mental health, outpatient and residential settings, crisis-oriented care, and addiction treatment — I've supported adults through trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and complex life transitions. That background informs a thoughtful, paced approach that prioritizes safety, clarity, and sustainable change. In addition to individual therapy, I facilitate structured emotional regulation groups for adults who want skills-focused support in a contained setting — without pressure to share personal history or engage in process-style group work.
