I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with extensive experience working with adults across community mental health, addiction treatment, crisis-oriented settings, and outpatient care. My approach to therapy is person-centered and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and respected. Within that relational foundation, my work incorporates structured, skills-based therapy, with a particular focus on emotional regulation and helping clients navigate intense emotions in a steady, practical way. I aim to balance emotional processing with containment and realistic skill-building, so therapy feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Over the course of my clinical work, I’ve supported individuals impacted by trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, domestic violence, and complex life transitions. This background informs a thoughtful, paced approach to therapy that prioritizes safety, clarity, and sustainable change. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-informed practices. Therapy with me is collaborative, direct, and focused on developing tools that can be applied outside of session. In addition to individual therapy, I facilitate structured emotional regulation groups for adults who want skills-focused support within a contained environment, without pressure to share personal history or engage in process-style group therapy. My clinical background also includes work in residential and outpatient addiction treatment programs and telehealth services across California.
