Introduction

In a world that can feel confusing to navigate at times, counseling is an important step in developing effective communication skills, building trust, and cultivating meaningful relationships. The Counselors Corner is a group counseling practice committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. Our clinicians work collaboratively to support clients in strengthening relationships and enhancing overall well-being through ethical, client-centered care. The practice is led by Clinical Director Christie Belle, LPC, author of Dear Single Mother: A Journal of Autism, Isolation, and Self-Discovery. Under her leadership, The Counselors Corner integrates research-informed therapeutic approaches with autism-informed care, lived experience, and personalized guidance to meet the diverse needs of the individuals and families we serve. In addition to clinical counseling services, The Counselors Corner operates Autism Rising, an autism-informed education and training initiative. Through Autism Rising, we provide community education, caregiver support, and specialized autism awareness and de-escalation training for professionals, first responders, and law enforcement. Autism Rising services are educational in nature and are designed to promote understanding, safety, and effective community response.
