Introduction

I am a board‑certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. I have been in clinical practice since 2005. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Behavioral and Biological Neuroscience from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. After graduation, I spent three years working in the Pediatric and Adult Psychopharmacology Research Programs at Massachusetts General Hospital. It was during this time that I was introduced to the role of the psychiatric nurse practitioner—a profession that perfectly blended my interest in medicine with my commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care. In 2005, I completed the RN‑to‑MSN accelerated graduate program at the Yale University School of Nursing. My career has included work across a variety of outpatient mental health settings, with the most formative experience being my 13 years at Boston Children’s Hospital. There, I had the privilege of treating medically and psychosocially complex patients under the guidance of exceptional mentors and colleagues. I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the BCH community and for the families who entrusted me with their care. In 2018, I transitioned from BCH to focus on my private practice and to teach part‑time at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. My approach to treatment is grounded in providing comprehensive, evidence‑based psychiatric assessment and care through a humanistic, compassionate, and collaborative lens. The most meaningful part of my work is building strong therapeutic relationships—earning trust, supporting patients and families through challenges, and helping them achieve their treatment goals. A preceptor once told me, “Real change takes time.” The therapeutic process is a journey, and having the right provider by your side can make all the difference.
