I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) dedicated to expanding rural mental healthcare across southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina to better serve my community. My clinical work began in 2009 in day support programs and adult group homes, providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring mental health challenges. I hold degrees from Regent University (2012), Tidewater Community College (2013), and Eastern Virginia Medical School (2015). My clinical training in Virginia (2013–2015) included placements at Sentara Obici Hospital’s Psychiatric Unit, Renaissance Academy, and Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center. In 2014 I traveled to Haiti with EVMS to provide art therapy to more than 400 orphaned children. I completed my residency at Harbor Point (2015–2018), delivering specialized inpatient therapy to youth—many involved with the juvenile justice or foster care systems. I became licensed in 2018 and entered private practice in Hampton Roads; in 2025 I relocated my practice from Great Bridge (Chesapeake) to the rural Pungo area of Virginia Beach to increase local access to mental healthcare and give back to the community where my family and I have lived for generations. Services include talk therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), art therapy, play therapy, faith-based counseling, dream analysis, and specialized treatment for youth who have sexually offended. My Therapeutic Approach: I blend traditional psychotherapy with image-making and the creative process to support healing, transformation, and growth. My work is person-centered and tailored to each person’s strengths, needs, comfort level, life experience, age, gender, culture, heritage, language, beliefs, and identity. I work within each client’s belief system and do not impose my personal theology.
