Introduction

Does your mind understand what happened to you but your body doesn’t quite feel settled? Or maybe you can’t make sense of any of it yet. It’s hard carrying around thoughts and feelings in the mind and body from the past. And yet the past feels so much alive in the present as you walk through life. That is how unresolved trauma and emotions often feel. It’s important to help the whole person (body, mind, and emotions) heal from past wounds through a supportive and integrative therapeutic approach. I strive to create a supportive, warm, nonjudgemental environment where you can feel safe enough to finally heal. That is how unresolved trauma and emotions often feel. It’s important to help the whole person (body, mind, and emotions) heal from past wounds through a supportive and integrative therapeutic approach. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe enough to finally heal. I approach sessions through the lens of present-day concerns and their connection to past significant events. We build a strong foundation of coping skills and resources to support healing of past events to then help the present feel a little lighter, which in turn supports a better future for you and those you care about. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy frequently and have witnessed it facilitate healing in ways that talk therapy cannot. Read more here: https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/experiencing-emdr-therapy/ I value the privilege to walk alongside you in your healing journey and would appreciate talking more about how I can support you.
