Introduction

Hi, I’m Christina Upright, I’m an Associate Licensed Counselor here at Connections Counseling Collective. Let’s be real. Nobody wants to stop what they’re doing to shop around for a therapist. Who has the time, the energy, or the emotional bandwidth for that? You’re scrolling through profiles hoping one of us gets it—that someone understands what it feels like to be overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, or just plain tired of holding everything together. If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably looking for support that actually feels human, practical, and grounded. Here’s the good news: you don’t have to have your life perfectly sorted before starting therapy. If you did, I would be out of a job—and honestly, I like my job. I work with people who are juggling too much, overthinking everything, or feeling like they’re auditioning for the role of “functional adult” without ever getting the script. My approach is down-to-earth, compassionate, and straightforward. I’m not here to stare at you silently or ask, “And how does that make you feel?” in a dramatic therapist voice (unless, of course, comedy helps—we can always laugh and heal). I want our sessions to feel like a real conversation where you can exhale, be honest, and untangle the stuff that’s been weighing on you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, big life transitions, or just feeling stuck in a loop, we’ll work together to break old patterns and build new ones that actually support the life you want. I’ll bring practical tools, a sense of humor, and the kind of warmth that allows you to show up as your full messy, brilliant self. If you’re ready to feel a little lighter, a little clearer, and a lot more supported, I’d be glad to walk that path with you. And if you’re still scrolling through profiles—go ahead, I won’t take it personally. But if you circle back, I’ll be here.
