Introduction

Along with starting my practice 6 years ago, I began serving as a group facilitator for up to 500 participants a week in audio-based support rooms on Circlesup.com, leading discussions on trauma healing, emotional regulation, and relationship recovery. This role has deepened my expertise in narcissistic abuse recovery and grief work, and it continues to inform the community-driven, strengths-based approach I bring to therapy. My early career has also included roles as a Child Play & Sand Tray Therapist, Therapist in Abused Women and Children’s Shelters, Clinician in foster homes, and Assistant Director of psychiatric units in two prisons. Trained under a leading neurologist as a Neuro Assistant, building expertise in brain trauma and executing a wide spectrum of neurological assessments. I have also held several community based positions along the way. These experiences exposed me to a wide range of social, emotional, and psychological needs—and have helped shape my practical, no-nonsense, heart-centered approach. I offer an integrative, trauma-informed approach grounded in: DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) IFS (Internal Family Systems), Level 2 Gottman Method for Couples Therapy Relational Life Therapy (Level 3 Certification in Progress) Neuroscience Coaching Inner-Child Work DBR (Deep Brain ReOrienting) for Complex PTSD These modalities support clients in understanding their patterns, identifying emotional blocks, setting boundaries, and building stronger relationships—with others and themselves. Through Neuroscience Coaching, I help clients apply cutting-edge research on the brain—including neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, and cognitive restructuring—to shift unhelpful thought patterns and achieve personal and professional goals. In all sessions, whether individual, couple, or group-based, my focus remains the same: to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I believe healing begins with being truly heard—and from there, change becomes possible. How Therapy Helps Untangle Shame Healing from shame is not about getting rid of it. It’s about learning to understand it. In our work together, shame is not something we push away or fix. Instead, we approach it with curiosity and care—exploring what it holds, where it began, and what it has been trying to protect. Shame often carries the imprint of early relationships, unmet needs, and emotions that were never safe to feel. Over time, therapy creates space for what once felt overwhelming—allowing you to face these experiences with support, rather than isolation. This process takes time. It is not about returning to who you were before trauma. It is about becoming someone who can hold their story with compassion instead of judgment. As shame begins to loosen its grip, something shifts: Your sense of self becomes more integrated and whole You experience greater emotional freedom You learn to connect with others without losing yourself And in that shift, you are no longer defined by what happened to you—or by the beliefs you had to form to survive. You begin to relate to yourself differently. More gently. More honestly. More fully. You begin to become. Therapy with me is honest, grounded, and collaborative. This is a space where you don’t have to perform, prove, or hold it all together. Together, we will work to help you: Identify, understand, and process your emotions Build and maintain clear, healthy boundaries Communicate with confidence and clarity Restore connection within yourself and your relationships Cultivate self-respect, confidence, and self-compassion You are not alone—and you don’t have to figure this out on your own anymore. I’ve been a proud military wife for 24 years, mom to two amazing active duty sons, and one outstanding SUNY Rugger daughter. Outside the therapy room, I’m often spending time with my fur family: Chinook the Husky Osa the Great Pyrenees Seiche the Chiweenie Fuzzy Fozzie the Toy Golden Poodle They’re part of my daily life—and since meet virtually, chances are you’ll definitely hear them say hello! ***Thursday April 9th 2026*** Trauma, Guilt, and Shame: Understanding the Hidden Emotional Landscape 8pm-10pm EST $25 *****Summer Groups***** ***It’s Not You*** Wednesday's @5:15pm EST Begins June 3rd (approx 10 weeks) $25 Based on It's Not You by Ramani Durvasula, this group is designed for those recovering from narcissistic, emotionally immature, or psychologically harmful relationships. If you’ve found yourself questioning your reality, over-explaining, walking on eggshells, or feeling “never enough,” this space will help you make sense of those experiences. You’ll learn to identify manipulation patterns, understand trauma bonds, and break free from cycles of self-doubt and over-responsibility. With direct, practical tools, we focus on rebuilding self-trust, strengthening boundaries, and reclaiming your voice. This group offers both clarity and relief—you are not too sensitive, you are not the problem, and you are not alone. ***The Body Keeps the Score*** Wednesday's @6:15pm EST Begins June 3rd (approx 10 weeks) $25 Rooted in the groundbreaking work of The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, this group offers a deep, compassionate understanding of how trauma lives in both the brain and body—and, more importantly, how healing happens. Together, we move beyond insight alone and into real, embodied change. You’ll learn how your nervous system has adapted to protect you, why certain reactions feel out of your control, and how to gently begin restoring a sense of safety from the inside out. Through a blend of neuroscience, somatic awareness, and relational support, this group helps you regulate overwhelming emotions, reconnect with your body, and build a more grounded, resilient sense of self. This is a space where nothing is “wrong” with you—your experiences make sense, and healing is possible. **Please note** Choosing whether to accept insurance is a meaningful and personal decision for every therapist. When I sign an insurance contract, I am required to follow the company’s rules and treatment guidelines—many of which don’t always support what is best for my clients or for the therapeutic process. To ensure I can offer highly personalized care, safeguard your privacy, and avoid treatment limitations imposed by insurance companies, I do not participate as an in-network provider with any insurance plans. From my past experience working with insurance companies, I found that their “one-size-fits-all” approach can restrict the ability for you and me to decide what will be most helpful for your healing. My goal is to provide care that is tailored, flexible, and truly individualized, and remaining private pay allows me to uphold that standard. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may still be able to receive reimbursement. I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. Please be sure to check with your insurer first to understand whether you have out-of-network coverage and what they will reimburse.
