Chris is a licensed therapist with more than forty years of experience supporting adults in managing anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges. Throughout his career as a social worker in the Western New York area, he has helped individuals identify and overcome barriers that may be holding them back, empowering them to move toward their fullest potential. His goal is to equip clients with practical skills, insight, and confidence so they can achieve meaningful change and live more fulfilling lives. Chris earned his Master’s Degree in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, with a concentration in Social Work with Children, Youth, and Families. In recognition of his dedication to client care, he received the Provider Recovery Award from the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, honoring his experience and exemplary commitment to promoting recovery, supporting independence and choice, and fostering collaborative partnerships. As a faith-based therapist, I integrate clinical skill with spiritual sensitivity, recognizing that healing involves the mind, body, and soul. Rather than imposing beliefs, I create a respectful space where a client’s faith, values, and worldview can be explored as sources of strength, meaning, and resilience. Evidence-based practices such as CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care are thoughtfully woven together with spiritual reflection, prayer (when desired), and discussion of sacred texts or principles that align with the client’s beliefs. For many people, faith is not separate from emotional wellness—it is the foundation of hope, purpose, and identity. A faith-based therapist honors this by meeting clients where they are, supporting their psychological growth while nurturing their spiritual life, and helping them discover that healing and grace often walk hand in hand.
