Introduction

🌿 Christy Austin, LCSW Transformational Therapist | Certified Addiction Coach | Founder of Moon + Meadow Therapeutic Healing Arts for Sacred Self‑Discovery Since 2009, I’ve supported adults and couples in navigating deep transitions, relationship challenges, identity development, and the lasting effects of trauma. As a licensed clinical social worker, I offer a grounded, integrative approach that bridges traditional psychotherapy with holistic and creative healing arts through my practice, Moon + Meadow. My work centers on helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, reclaim your story, and restore harmony within yourself and your relationships. I specialize in: Relationship patterns & polarity (including non-traditional partnerships & poly systems) Adult children of emotionally immature or narcissistic parents Trauma & complex PTSD Identity exploration Emotional burnout, anxiety, and spiritual crisis Limerence, codependency, and healing attachment wounds Addiction recovery & relationship repair with self and others You can expect a blend of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic grounding, nonviolent communication, and narrative work. For those drawn to intuitive practices, I may also integrate Reiki, astrology, tarot, or dreamwork—tools that help surface deeper layers of knowing and insight when appropriate. In addition to individual and couple’s therapy, I support those in recovery and their loved ones. I co-founded the first SMART Recovery meetings in Richmond in 2014 and bring a compassionate, strengths-based lens to addiction, emphasizing sustainable change through self-trust and empowerment. In 2024, I became certified as an addiction coach through This Naked Mind, which utilizes Affective Liminal Psychology to help clients break free from shame-based cycles and reconnect with their intrinsic wisdom, making lasting change feel safe, self-led, and sustainable. Whether you're navigating heartbreak, launching a new identity, or simply longing for more peace and purpose, you're not alone. Together, we’ll create space for clarity, healing, and transformation.
