You may be carrying difficult experiences while also feeling pressure to remain strong, keep moving forward, or fit expectations that do not fully reflect who you are. At Leek Therapy, I work with children, teenagers, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, social anxiety, life transitions, identity concerns, spirituality, family or relationship difficulties, and challenges related to confidence and emotional regulation. I have specialised training in African and Caribbean mental health and am particularly passionate about creating affirming care for Black, African, Caribbean, and other clients of color. My approach is collaborative, person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and therapy should account for your relationships, culture, identities, environment, and the systems affecting your life. I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, compassion-focused care, and multicultural counselling based on what feels useful and appropriate for you. Together, we can make sense of what you have experienced, strengthen emotional-regulation and coping skills, and challenge narratives that may have been placed on you by other people or society. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where you feel genuinely seen and heard while developing ways to move through life that feel empowering and aligned with who you are. I offer in-person therapy at Leek Therapy’s Boston office and secure telehealth throughout Massachusetts.
