Introduction

Welcome! My name is Cindy Pratt and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Virginia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University and my Master of Education in School Counseling at Liberty University. I have had over 17 years experience in the mental health field to include private practice, crisis intervention, case management, and inpatient hospitalization. I specialize in various populations: young adult, adult individuals, and seniors. My psychotherapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am here to help with anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, blended families, marriage, separation/divorce, anger issues, PTSD, chronic pain, grief and loss, life transitions, school stress, compassion/caregiver fatigue, addiction, work stress and career exploration. My approach is non-judgmental and supportive; my goal is to help clients identify self-defeating thoughts and feelings and cultivating a healthier mindset.
