Every session is crucial to the overall health and well-being of those I am working with. I believe in creating a safe space that will allow for freedom, agency, and where you can fully show up and express, as you need to. My core philosophy on effective therapy is one that is relationship-driven and collaborative of your views and narratives that guide your life. I trust my clients are the experts of their lives and that my role is to be a guide and witness to the stories that bring you into counseling. I am a bilingual, Hmong-speaking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I began practicing as a therapist-trainee in 2012 working with adolescents. Since then, I have followed my passion of continuing to expand my therapy skills with children, teens, adults, and families with severe mental health conditions, complex trauma and high needs. I am an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist, a Certified Provider of AutPlay Therapy, and an IFS-Informed Therapist. This means that I use a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and parts therapy approach to all my work with clients. Additionally, I also have extensive training in play therapy and attachment-focused therapies. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family as well as reading, writing, and engaging in other forms of creative expression.
