Introduction

Beginning counseling can feel intimidating. You may not know exactly where to start, what to expect, or even how to put your experiences into words. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable taking that first step and confident that your voice matters throughout the process. Counseling does not have to follow a predetermined path. My hope is that our work together helps you discover what works best for you and supports you in creating the future you want for yourself. I believe you should feel in control of your counseling experience. Every client brings different experiences, goals, and needs into the room, which is why I approach counseling with flexibility and a willingness to adapt as those needs evolve. My first and most important job is to listen. From there, we can explore what is most important to you, identify what may be standing in your way, and work toward solutions that feel meaningful and realistic for your life. I enjoy helping clients develop greater self awareness, strengthen their ability to navigate challenges, and reconnect with the person they want to be. There is no one size fits all approach to counseling. Instead, I believe the most effective work happens when counseling reflects the unique needs, strengths, and experiences of the individual sitting across from me. Before entering the counseling field, I spent years working in the business world and gained a firsthand appreciation for the demands, pressures, and competing responsibilities many people face in their daily lives. My path into counseling began through work at an animal assisted therapy facility, where I discovered the impact that thoughtful, individualized support can have on a person's life. That experience ultimately inspired me to pursue counseling and continues to shape the way I approach this work today. Outside of counseling, I am happiest outdoors. Whether I am mountain biking, riding my horse, or taking a long walk with my dog, I appreciate opportunities to slow down, recharge, and stay connected to the things that bring balance and enjoyment to life.
