Introduction

As a first-generation graduate, my journey into mental health was shaped by learning to advocate for myself and overcome barriers from a young age. I was supported by counselors, teachers, my mom, and others who saw my potential, and I wanted to be that source of support for people who feel stuck or alone. My work has spanned adults with disabilities, teens in counseling, and children and families facing medical procedures and trauma in a hospital setting. As a former military spouse and a parent of neurodivergent children, I bring deep empathy and lived experience to helping others navigate life’s toughest transitions. Before our first session, you’ll complete an intake form so I can understand your background, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I review this ahead of time so our first meeting can focus on your strengths, needs, and helping you feel comfortable with the process. We check in regularly to track progress and adjust goals as needed. I especially enjoy working with teenagers and young adults, and I offer a free consult to see if we’re a good fit. I focus my continuing education on trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices. I’m currently working towards training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and regularly use CBT tools with my clients. I enjoy a hands-on, interactive style and often incorporate activities into sessions to help clients process experiences in ways that words alone sometimes cannot.
