Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of human service roles, including personal trainer, caregiver, wellness coach, group home worker, and an inpatient mental health worker. All of these roles helped shape my perspective on mental health and helping others. My approach to therapy is integrative, laid back, non-judgmental, and confidential. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach. I incorporate tools and perspectives from CBT, DBT and ACT. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an approach that supports healing from trauma and overwhelming experiences. Using eye movements, ART helps the brain store memories in a less distressing way - so the past feels less present or activating.
