Introduction

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MA) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (ME). I began my career in juvenile justice, working with court-involved teenagers. Most had people who loved them, but the connection and accountability around them were inconsistent — caring adults without the tools to help, and expectations sometimes too loose, sometimes too much. I saw kids do real work in a program and then struggle again once they returned to an unchanged environment, which is why I still believe the people and tools around someone matter as much as anything that happens in a session. That belief shapes how I work now. Many of us live at the extremes — good or bad, all or nothing — an exhausting place to think from. Much of my work is helping people find the middle: firm and honest, caring without losing yourself. I work with parents, professionals, and young adults on anxiety, stress, relationships, and harder seasons of life. A large part of my practice is parent support because parents are the ones who can actually change things: their own lives, the environment at home, and through both, their child's. My goal is for you to not need me — to build enough together that you can carry it forward alone.
