Introduction

Conner Vrba is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho and a dedicated mental health professional with a deep connection to the Boise community where he was born and raised. He holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University. With a foundation in psychology and sociology from his undergraduate years at the University of Idaho, Conner blends academic insight with practical experience to help clients navigate life’s challenges with clarity and care. Conner’s clinical approach blends presence-centered, relational work grounded in the Gestalt framework with evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). He works from a trauma-informed perspective, helping clients develop awareness, resilience, and long-term strategies for meaningful change. His doctoral training enhances his work by integrating the latest research, ethical practices, and client-centered techniques to support well-rounded and individualized care. A former DI collegiate football player, Conner enjoys working with athletes navigating identity, pressure, and life transitions both on and off the field. His firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional demands of sport allows him to connect authentically and support clients in achieving sustainable performance and balance. Conner is passionate about helping individuals through life's challenges, whether they’re facing trauma, stress, life transitions, or performance-related concerns. His warm and direct approach invites clients to show up authentically while exploring new ways of being. Outside the therapy room, Conner embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. He also finds creativity in the kitchen, relaxation through music, and playing video games.
