Introduction

As a therapist, I offer not only professional guidance, but also a firsthand understanding of the weight of unresolved emotional pain from childhood trauma—whether from abuse, neglect, or complicated family dynamics. I bring a compassionate, patient, and intuitive presence to our work together, helping you make sense of confusing emotions and experiences so that you can heal and move forward on your own terms. I am a neurodivergent, queer individual, whose early years were marked by rural poverty, parental incarceration, and caregivers who struggled with their own mental health. Those years left me with lasting challenges, but they also gave me invaluable insights into the human condition. Life hasn't always been easy or predictable for me, and I carry that lived experience with me in my work. Even on my hardest days, I acknowledge the privilege I now hold, and I am committed to using it in service of others. As a social worker and abolitionist, I challenge the harmful systems that perpetuate cycles of violence and oppression. I believe that mental health care must evolve to meet the complexities of people's lived experiences, not merely conform to outdated or stigmatizing models that reproduce harm. By centering harm reduction and restorative practices, I strive to create space where healing is possible—not just for the individual, but for communities as a whole. Do you find it difficult to connect with other people? Find it hard to trust or rely on others? Feel like pulling away when someone wants to get close, or get close when someone pulls away? Are you confused by your own reactions and emotions? Are you confused about who you really are? Ever long for authenticity but that authenticity looks different sometimes? Or feel like you're not quite the same in every situation? Do you ever feel frozen with anxiety in one setting yet have a cold, aloof, or even confident presence in another, just to have a childlike playfulness in another? Do you have a strong autopilot response that can take you through crisis but doesn't seem to be there for daily inconveniences? Is the past nearly impossible to access or do you feel like you're constantly reliving it? Is it hard for you to take breaks? Do you have an uncanny ability to compartmentalize? How strong is that inner critic? You are not broken. You are not too much. You are welcome here. I do not have immediate openings, but inquiries are always welcome. If we determine we're a great match after a free consult call, I can add you to a waitlist with an undetermined start date. I provide in person or telehealth therapy. I look forward to hearing from you.
