Introduction

I believe that the power to heal is already inside of you, and I want you to know: relief is on the horizon. In life, we face circumstances that cause us to question ourselves and mistrust our own intuition. This can lead to exhaustion, confusion, and desperation as we try to understand how life has turned out this way. We begin to see our own emotions with fear and contempt instead of understanding them as valid expressions of the life circumstances we have faced to this point. When it is our own story, it can be very complicated to see and understand. Like a map that is blurry when held too close to your eyes, your story can be hard to decipher when you are in the thick of your mess. Working with me may feel like taking a few steps back from the map to be able to see clearly. This awareness brings choice back into the picture for you. It allows you to become the author of your story instead of feeling like your story is something that is happening to you. This is powerful, and this is what we can navigate together. I create a safe, nonjudgemental space to explore the highs and lows of life, and if you know there is trauma in your story, it is safe here. In counseling with me, you will not only discover tools to cope with all of this, but you will be empowered to explore the root of the problems you are facing today so that you are not just managing unwanted behavior and emotion; you are truly healing. With training in EMDR, IFS, and Coherence Therapy, I see individual adults and couples and provide trauma-informed care that will help you to highlight and move through the problems that you face. This is hard work, but it is the work that will lead to The Mended Mind you were made to have. Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Pamela Aldrich, LPC-S.
