Introduction

Greetings! I am Dr. Courtney Cabell and I am committed to healing, empowerment, and social justice. I am a a Doctoral Limited Licensed Psychologist (DLLP) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and am currently practicing under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist (LP). As the founder and president of Open Heart Communities, I lead initiatives that support underserved populations through holistic and culturally grounded approaches to healing and liberation. I have specialized training in a broad array of research-supported treatments, including Black Feminist Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Movement and Somatic Therapies. Adolescents and adults experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, and reactions to trauma, vicarious trauma, or racial trauma find empowerment, healing, and liberation through their work with me. Using the most up-to-date assessment tools and research, I conduct in-depth psychological assessments and evaluations to help clarify diagnosis and inform therapeutic, medical, and academic interventions.
