I graduated from Baylor University with an undergraduate degree in Social Work and Pre-Law, and I also minored in Sociology. I then earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Baylor University, focusing on the Clinical Track and specializing in Adolescent Trauma. Before becoming a therapist at OPI Houston, I gained experience in residential treatment, juvenile detention and probation, as well as acute behavioral health care in various cities across Texas. I have provided individual, family, and group therapy sessions. The core values that guide my practice include empowerment, safety, authenticity, and a sense of fun and play. I believe in a non-judgmental, multi-systems approach and work to connect with clients through trust and strong rapport, built upon shared goals aimed at improving their lives on their own terms. Through an attachment-based perspective, I believe that clients can rebuild trust in themselves and their family systems by addressing the root causes of trauma and developing the confidence needed to manage daily challenges and beyond. I strive to foster resilience in my clients and use individualized, strengths-based strategies across several modalities, including motivational interviewing, systems theory, social learning theory, the psychodynamic model, crisis intervention, narrative therapy, and the solution-focused model. As a native Texan who grew up in San Antonio, I completed my education in Waco before moving to Houston in 2018 with my partner and our two dogs. I enjoy traveling to various cities, attending concerts, exploring bookstores, trying new coffee shops, and getting tattoos. For relaxation, nothing beats a good camping trip!
