I am a Renton/South Seattle-based therapist with over 15 years in the field. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in an array of systems including child welfare, homeless services, grief support, and birth doula care. These experience have shaped how I show up in the room: grounded, honest, and attentive to the full picture of your life, not just the symptoms in front of us. I have a direct and candid approach. You can expect honesty over hand-holding in a compassionate space where you can be seen and heard. I'm trained in EMDR, perinatal and grief-specific care. I work from a trauma-informed, social-justice perspective. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC clients, teens, and young adults navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, identity questions, burnout, or the weight of internalized oppression. I also enjoy providing supervision hours for new clinicians. Therapy with me isn't about quick answers. it's about taking the time to understand what's actually going on, and finding what genuinely helps. Sessions are virtual only. I accept private pay and Aetna, Optum, and Premera insurances. If finances are a true barrier, reach out and we can discuss sliding scale options when appropriate. www.counselingwithcourt.com
