Introduction

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable—especially if you've spent a long time managing things on your own. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. I'm Courtney Nyland, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR Certified Therapist. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, understood, and actively involved in the process. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, while also being practical. We'll work together to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build skills that support you in everyday life, and—when appropriate—process experiences that continue to affect you. I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Your experiences, strengths, goals, and pace matter. My role is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be. You don't have to wait until things become unbearable to ask for help. Currently I am accepting new clients. In-person appointments are available in Carson City, with telehealth available throughout Nevada. Schedule a Free 15-Minute Consultation to explore your therapy needs further.
