I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience across community mental health, non-profit organizations, and private practice. My training includes a degree in Psychology from Transylvania University in Romania, a Master in Social Work from the Jane Addams College at the University of Illinois Chicago, a fellowship in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, and a Certificate in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery from Harvard Medical School. I work with adults in individual psychotherapy and offer consultation and supervision to clinicians through two group models: Attachment Psychodynamic Therapy and Transcultural Attachment Psychodynamic Therapy. INDIVIDUAL THERAPY Attachment-based psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults My approach draws on attachment theory, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and transcultural frameworks. I am interested in the whole person, not only in symptoms, but in the relational history, the cultural context, and the internal world that give rise to them. Therapy unfolds as a sustained process in which the relationship between therapist and client becomes itself a space for change. Anxiety & Panic Generalized anxiety, social and performance anxiety, panic, understood through early attachment and the body's memory of unsafety. Trauma & Complex PTSD Developmental trauma, adverse early experiences, and their lasting effects on identity, relationships, and the capacity to feel at ease in oneself. Attachment & Relationships Insecure attachment patterns, difficulty with trust and intimacy, and recurring relational dynamics that create confusion and distress. Depression & Self-Esteem Persistent low mood, self-criticism, perfectionism, and the deeper structures of identity that underlie depressive experience. Migration & Displacement The emotional complexities of immigration, cultural transition, linguistic loss, and the search for belonging across borders. Identity & Cultural Context Questions of identity shaped by bicultural experience, adoption, intergenerational history, and the tension between inherited and chosen selves. CONSULTATION & SUPERVISION For clinicians deepening their practice I offer individual and group consultation for therapists who wish to deepen their psychodynamic and attachment-based clinical work. My approach to supervision is rooted in the conviction that the clinician's own attachment history, cultural positioning, and countertransference are not obstacles to the work but instruments of it, requiring the same careful attention we give to our patients. I serve as a mentor with the Psychotherapy Action Network (PsiAN), supporting early- and mid-career therapists in developing depth-oriented clinical practice. Individual Consultation Ongoing monthly consultation for clinicians seeking sustained support in psychodynamic and attachment-informed work. Sessions address case conceptualization, the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship, and the clinician's own experience as a shaping force in treatment. 60 minutes, $150 per session. Attachment Psychodynamic Therapy 6-Month Peer Consultation Cohort · Chicago A small-cohort consultation group for therapists working with culturally diverse populations.
