You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or simply not quite like yourself. Maybe you’ve spent years pushing through, overthinking, caring for others, or trying to hold everything together. Therapy can be a place to slow down, listen inward, and begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and relational. With compassion and curiosity, we’ll explore the patterns, pain, protective strategies, and deeper longings that shape your life and relationships. I believe healing is not about “fixing” who you are, but creating space for more self-understanding, steadiness, connection, and freedom. I integrate parts work/IFS-informed therapy, somatic work, nervous system regulation, CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches. I also offer support for trauma, anxiety, relationship patterns, addiction/substance use concerns, life transitions, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy preparation and integration. — ABOUT ME — I don’t spend much time talking about myself in sessions, so savor this. (Mostly kidding.) A lot of my adult life was spent searching for something outside of myself. I traveled often, explored different careers, and moved through my own experiences with mental health struggles, addiction, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy became a space where I slowly learned how to stop running from myself and instead meet my inner world with more compassion, curiosity, and honesty. Over time, I found that healing was not about becoming a “perfect” version of myself or getting rid of difficult emotions altogether. It was about learning how to sit with the full range of being human — grief, joy, fear, uncertainty, beauty, and pain — with greater steadiness and self-compassion. Instead of relating to emotions as problems to fix or conquer, I began learning how to approach them more like a compassionate witness or pilgrim: gently turning toward the wounds and parts of myself that needed care, understanding, and connection. That spirit deeply shapes the way I approach therapy, and I consider myself a fellow traveler — continually learning, growing, healing, and finding my way too. My professional background includes working in homeless shelters, addiction recovery, trauma treatment, and residential programs with individuals navigating profound grief, hopelessness, addiction, and emotional pain. I also spend time doing nonprofit work alongside communities living in extreme poverty, including children and families living on dumpsites in Kenya. These experiences deeply shaped the way I see people, suffering, resilience, and healing. The more people I met, the more I recognized that healing rarely comes through judgment, pressure, or quick answers. Often, what helps most is having another human willing to truly sit with you in the hard places long enough for safety, meaning, clarity, and hope to slowly emerge. Because of both my personal and professional experiences, I strive to bring a deeply compassionate, nonjudgmental, and human approach to therapy. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I genuinely honor the uniqueness of each person’s story, strengths, struggles, and path. Alongside the hard work of healing, I also believe in savoring moments of joy, connection, meaning, authenticity, and growth — especially in a world that often moves too fast for us to fully feel them. — IF THIS RESONATES WITH YOU — You don’t have to have everything — or anything — figured out before reaching out.
