My healthcare career began in 2008 with a broad clinical foundation that culminated in my dual certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (2025) and Family Nurse Practitioner (2016). My experience as an FNP at a health clinic for the homeless in Philadelphia and as a medical provider in the substance use disorder unit at Crozer Chester Medical Center provided a deep understanding of complex and often treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions combined with challenging biopsychosocial issues. These experiences highlighted the urgent need for new and effective treatments. Driven by this demand, I completed my Post-Master's Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification at La Salle University, plus further enhanced my specialized knowledge by completing a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy certificate program at the Soundmind Institute in Philadelphia to integrate complementary therapies such as breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, and psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. I work with individuals across a diverse range of psychiatric needs, specializing in: - Substance Use Disorders (Addiction) and Harm Reduction strategies - Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Consultation for Safe Deprescribing of psychiatric medications My practice is built on a holistic treatment philosophy. My approach skillfully integrates medication management—addressing brain-based biological factors—with psychotherapy and mind-body techniques to effectively reshape deeply ingrained emotional and behavioral patterns. My foundational experience in critical care and neurology is particularly valuable for clients with complex medical histories. Combined with my personal experience working and living in diverse Pennsylvania settings (rural, suburban, and urban), I am equipped to offer compassionate care to people from a wide range of backgrounds, medical complexities, and personal challenges.
