With 30 years of experience, I bring a lot of breadth and depth to my clinical work with clients presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns. I approach my work with clients from a Client-Centered perspective integrating cognitive-behavioral, brief-solution focused, and Interpersonal processing perspectives and techniques. I also like to engage my clients in existential thought to explore what provides meaning and purpose in their lives as unique individuals and integrate Logotherapy and other meaning and purpose based philosophies into my practice. I hold a specific fondness and specialization for working with clients struggling with addictions of various kinds. I have also worked extensively with clients presenting with anxiety and depression, issues relating to personal identity, including sexual, gender, and spiritual identity, grief and lose issues, and relationship difficulties. I am a graduate of Clemson University and The Ashland Theological Seminary and have past work experience in inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, full spectrum alcohol and other drug treatment facilities, university counseling centers, and private practice.
