My name is Cydney Hanrahan, and I am a Counseling Intern dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, self-understanding, and resilience. I am currently completing my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in counseling and expect to graduate in December of 2026. As part of my clinical training, I provide counseling services under the supervision of Sara Yarbrough, ensuring that clients receive thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality care. I was drawn to the counseling profession through a passion for helping people feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their experiences, develop new perspectives, and build the tools needed to overcome life's challenges. I work with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. While I enjoy supporting individuals of all ages, I have a particular passion for working with older adults as they navigate life transitions, changing relationships, grief and loss, retirement, caregiving responsibilities, health concerns, and questions of meaning and purpose. I value the wisdom and unique experiences that older adults bring to the therapeutic process and strive to create an environment where they feel respected, supported, and understood. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, workplace stress, and challenges related to trust, betrayal, and personal growth. My goal is to help clients identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and fulfillment. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. Drawing from evidence-based practices and strengths-based perspectives, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and I view therapy as a partnership focused on growth, healing, and achieving meaningful goals. Whether you are seeking support through a difficult season, adjusting to a major life change, processing past experiences, or pursuing personal growth, I am committed to helping you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you on your journey.
