Restoring the self by learning to balance your needs with other commitments helps build sustainable mental health with positive outcomes and growth. As a therapist I have worked as a medical social worker in a hospital setting, met many struggling with mental health, addiction, loss, and needing a way forward. I am trained in trauma informed care in which ignited an intense curiosity that led to further education encompassing trauma impacts on neurobiology, addiction, the vagus nerve, cognitive behavioral therapy, and resilience. Our body is telling us to pay attention! My strengths are clinical trauma work, resilience, a love for learning, building capacity, and freedom to learn and change. What are your strengths? I am a good listener and work out of many therapeutic modalities to find what is supporting each person to meet the individual needs and goals. Let's find courage and skills to improve your coping capacity. Through listening reflectively I appreciate finding strengths even in struggle. With your story you can and will become proud of what you have been through as you gain the skills necessary to find the empowerment needed to navigate through for yourself. I can help you learn to do this.
