I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and an ordained pastor serving individuals, couples, and families in the Shenandoah Valley. My work is rooted in the belief that people are not problems to be fixed, but stories to be understood—stories that carry both deep wounds and real dignity. I began this work through pastoral ministry, where I saw how often people carry pain that goes unseen or unnamed—especially in areas like anxiety, trauma, relational conflict, and identity. That led me into professional counseling, where I now integrate clinical training with a thoughtful, person-centered approach to care. I specialize in working with: Trauma and unresolved past experiences Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm Relationship and marital conflict Adolescents and families navigating behavioral or emotional challenges My approach is trauma-informed and relational. I draw from a range of methods—including narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive approaches, and deeper insight-oriented work—to help clients understand not just what is happening, but why it makes sense given their story. For those who desire it, I also offer counseling that is grounded in the Christian faith. This is always done thoughtfully and respectfully, never assumed or forced. Clients often come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from themselves, from others, or from God. My goal is to help you slow down, make sense of your experience, and begin moving toward clarity, connection, and meaningful change.
