Introduction

I'm Dan Curcio, M.ED, LPC, NCC, and the founder of Calm 2 Your Senses Counseling, LLC. I am excited to welcome you into a space built on understanding, creativity, and compassion. My path into mental health care began long before I became a therapist. Born with muscular dystrophy, my life has been shaped by navigating unique challenges, and these experiences have deeply influenced how I connect with others. I learned early what it means to navigate challenges with resilience, creativity, and self-compassion- perspectives that now shape the heart of my work. This personal journey fuels my commitment to ensuring people feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. I'm someone who values real connection in therapy. People who work with me are often carrying a lot- stress, pressure, grief, health challenges, big life questions, or just the exhaustion of always having to keep going. I try to offer a space that feels honest, humble, and human. With me, you don't have to pretend you're fine or have all the answers. My therapeutic approach moves beyond traditional methods, recognizing that therapy should reflect the individual's unique needs. At Calm 2 Your Senses Counseling, LLC, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their emotions, develop self-advocacy skills, and grow in confidence. Every session is tailored to the individual, embracing flexibility, curiosity, and authenticity. My goal is to walk alongside people as they discover their own resilience and inner strength while grounding in their calm. Here, therapy is not just about coping; it's about fostering true growth and thriving. I look forward to building something authentic with you.
