Dana Blake is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) providing telehealth psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups throughout California under the supervision of a licensed clinician at SPARE Counseling Ministries. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services—Mental Health from California State University, Fullerton. Dana provides individual, family, and group counseling and works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and personal and spiritual growth. She has served as a Process Group Leader, is a published contributor to "Counselor Self-Care" by Gerald Corey, and is a featured participant in the instructional video series accompanying "Theory and Practice of Group Counseling" by Gerald Corey. In addition to her counseling work, Dana is a credentialed Special Education Teacher with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. She has worked with individuals navigating emotional, behavioral, developmental, learning, and neurodevelopmental differences, including autism and ADHD. This experience provides valuable insight into the unique strengths, challenges, and support needs that individuals and families may encounter across home, school, and community settings. Dana believes that genuine human connection is at the heart of meaningful change. Her approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and client-centered therapy. She creates a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, gain insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing, growth, and renewed hope.
