You make sense, even when life doesn’t. Being human is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. Hi, I’m Dana. If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken the first step. That’s the hardest part! I’m a therapist who believes that you already make sense. Many of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors we struggle with are rooted in past experiences, attachments, and ways we adapted in order to survive. And we did survive, but these strategies may not be working for us anymore. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s about understanding your story, reconnecting with your strengths, and choosing how you want to move forward. I work with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, family conflict, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I have experience working with youth who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, burned out, or even unsure about therapy. I also collaborate with caregivers when helpful, while always prioritizing safety, trust, and the client’s voice. I use a mix of approaches to meet your specific needs and goals including EMDR, IFS/parts work, DBT/CBT, and creative alternatives such as art and play. Sessions might include deep processing, practical skill-building, rehearsing difficult conversations, or simply having a safe place to just exist, because sometimes existing is hard. My style is warm, casual, and collaborative. Above all, I strive to be an approachable, safe, non-judgmental presence who wants to know the real you, offers tools that fit you, and will be there with you as you figure out what’s next. You’re already here, and I’m really glad you are. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan. We’ll start whenever and wherever you are ready to.
