A sense of purpose, meaningful relationships, and an overall notion of well-being are common wishes, yet often seem out of reach. As a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience, I offer therapy to individuals and couples from multicultural backgrounds and at different stages of life. Themes I encounter include life stressors related to personal and professional challenges, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal dynamics. With couples I focus on improving communication around charged topics, and enhancing emotional and physical intimacy, so they can feel more connected and appreciated, and experience more joy together. In a hectic and uncertain world, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and gain insight on how to navigate life intentionally. My clinical style is warm, attentive, and direct. I pay close attention to clients’ personal histories, interpersonal dynamics, attachment styles, communication patterns, values, and hopes. I hold a certificate in CBT and an advanced certificate in psychodynamic couples’ therapy. In addition, I draw from attachment, narrative, and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) theories among others. I often suggest exercises and reflections to explore between sessions—tools you can carry forward into your everyday life and relationships.
